NUI Certificate in Youth Arts with a specialism in STEAM
November 2021 – June 2022

The NUI Certificate in Youth Arts is developed and delivered in partnership by Maynooth University and the National Youth Council of Ireland. It is a part-time programme of study (November 2021 – June 2022) in youth arts practice with focus on the emerging field of STEAM in Youth Work.

‘How is the YOU doing in Youth Work?’ is a facilitated space for you and your team to talk and listen, a little time for some self-care for each of you.

Let’s Talk About Consent

This interactive one-day training aims to support youth workers to feel confident and competent to address the concept of consent with young people in their organisations.

NUI Certificate in Youth Arts with a specialism in STEAM

NUI Certificate Global Youth Work and Development Education

The new NUI Certificate in Global Youth Work and Development Education is a Level 8, Special Purpose award delivered by the National Youth Council of Ireland in partnership with the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.

Certificate in Youth Arts

Part time, year long university accredited course of study in Irish Youth Arts Practice managed and delivered by the Arts Programme at NYCI. The Certificate in Youth Arts aims to introduce those working in the non-formal education sector to the concepts, principles and practice of youth arts using a context and practice approach.

Games in Youth Work – Engaging young people in climate action and development education

This innovative and exciting new programme will enable youth workers to use games to strengthen their practice while focussing on climate, environmental and development issues.

NYCI STEAM School 2019

This residential training in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) activities for youth work settings will help you explore pinhole photography and paper circuit art with youth arts specialists Brian Cregan and Maeve Clancy.

It is delivered as part of a collaboration between NYCI’s Youth Arts Programme and STEAM in Youth Work project, meaning participants will also be eligible to apply for a €5,000 Scientist in Youth Work Residency grant.
