MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE
Youth work makes a real difference to the lives of young people in our community. The National Youth Council of Ireland supports a number of campaigns aimed at improving the lives of young people in Ireland. Below are some of the campaigns that are currently running.
NYCI in partnership with our member organisations and the wider youth work sector is running the “Youth Work Changes Lives” campaign from 2017-2019 to highlight the positive contribution of youth work to young people, local communities and Irish society as a whole
VOTE AT 16
NYCI believes that young people should have a greater say in decisions and actions that affect them and their community. We have been campaigning for Government to extend the right to vote to 16 and 17 year olds for local, national and European elections.
Add some fun new skills to your youth work toolkit at our next intro to circus skills course, taking place in partnership with @DublinCircus this October 🤸♀️🤹🤡
