MAKING A DIFFERENCE TO THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE
Youth work makes a real difference to the lives of young people in our community. The National Youth Council of Ireland supports a number of campaigns aimed at improving the lives of young people in Ireland. Below are some of the campaigns that are currently running.
VOTE AT 16
NYCI believes that young people should have a greater say in decisions and actions that affect them and their community. We have been campaigning for Government to extend the right to vote to 16 and 17 year olds for local, national and European elections.
This week @Belong_To, @Foroige, @ywirl & @nycinews joined over 70 youth workers across the country in writing to @rodericogorman, @DonnellyStephen & @paulreiddublin on the absence of adolescent gender-related healthcare in Ireland
