Mindout: Promoting Social and Emotional Wellbeing – Limerick

This 2 day interactive training is based on the evidence based MindOut resource developed in 2004 and recently revised by NUI Galway and the HSE Health and Wellbeing Division with support from NYCI. The resource was developed to support the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of young people.

Filmmaking with Young People in Youth Work Settings

Gain basic practical and creative skills in film making when working with young people in youth work settings. This workshop combines a range of skills required to deliver a film making programme such as digital video shooting, editing, storyboarding, effects, approaches, all while maintaining a youth work centred approach. It provides an easy to grasp and replicated workshop which requires no previous experience.

NYCI STEAM School 2019

September 16 - September 18

This residential training in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) activities for youth work settings will help you explore pinhole photography and paper circuit art with youth arts specialists Brian Cregan and Maeve Clancy. It is delivered as part of a collaboration between NYCI’s Youth Arts Programme and STEAM in Youth Work project, meaning participants will also be eligible to apply for a €5,000 Scientist in Youth Work Residency grant.
