Welcome to our One World Week new training offer!
Inequality is an issue we face and deal with daily in the youth work sector. We know however, even if inequality has become normalised that it is not normal. We want to explore this with you through our free OWW training offer.
Based on our new resource From the Ground Up! Youth Power Challenging Inequality Through the SDGs! this training will equip participants with the confidence and skills to take action on inequality using the themes of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The SDGs were adopted as a global framework to address issues on inequality, poverty, hunger, climate change, and peace.
Through this training, you will build confidence and capacity to support young people to find their power through their personal story and make their own connections with local and global realities.
Participants in this workshop will:
- Develop new approaches and strategies to help young people critically assess their world, starting with the personal and local.
- Reflect on the systems that contribute to inequality, to understand how to create meaningful change.
- Explore how issues like poverty, inequality, consumption, and climate change are interconnected and shaped by global systems.
- Gain an understanding on how the SDGs can be used as a framework for challenging injustices within youth work practice.
