This is a two day (consecutive) intensive, interactive workshop where participants develop their skills through simulations and role-playing in order to become more ready, willing and able to help people at risk of suicide. This course supports the objectives of Connecting for Life: Ireland’s National Strategy to Reduce Suicide (2015-2020) with particular reference to Goal 2 – Empowered Communities which seeks “to support local communities’ capacity to prevent and respond to suicidal behaviour”.
