This training programme is aimed at staff and volunteers in the youth sector, working with young people with general responsibilities in relation to safeguarding but who do not have specific responsibilities in their role in relation to child protection.
This three day course is aimed at those with the role and responsibility of a Child Protection Designated Liaison Person within their organisation. It aims to provide participants with the information to carry out this important role in an effective manner.
On day one the course follows the structure of the ‘Intercultural Awareness and Cultural Competency’ training day. On the second day participants will develop practical skills to engage with young people and volunteers in a culturally diverse setting, as well as planning and delivering their own session on Interculturalism and inclusion.
