Youth organisations can find it difficult to report on their inclusive youth work practice: “What should it look like?”; “Have we done enough?”; “Have we fallen short in some areas?”; “How do we do inclusion work in the context of other demands?”; “What are the key things we need to know to meet the key needs of minority and marginalised young people?”
This hands-on, interactive training supports you to answer these questions. It guides you through NYCI’s 8 Steps to Inclusive Youth Work resource which maps good practice against indicators in the NQSF and the NYS. It supports you to articulate your work, and to explore what other actions you can take.
In addition, it provides the compelling evidence you need to further your inclusion work by looking at the particular needs of the minority and marginalised groups the participants want to work with.
In advance of the training participants will be asked to bring a copy of their equality/inclusion/diversity policy.
Delivered by the Equality and Intercultural Programme Team.
