Reaction to latest CSO live register figures:

We have expressed concern and disappointment over the lack of urgency and focus on youth unemployment in the Programme for Government. There is no reference to ‘youth employment’ or ‘youth unemployment’ in the 125 page text.

Concern ‘Youth Affairs’ omitted from name of new Department of Children

We are very concerned at initial indications from the Taoiseach's announcement that ‘Youth Affairs’ may be dropped from the name of the Department, and we are calling for this to be reversed.
