BiBo is an emotional and social skills mindfulness based programme developed in Ireland in 2014 by a group that included youth workers, psychologists and others. Its mission is to support the development of positive mental habits for young teens with the programme being adaptable to meet the needs of older youth. It was initially introduced through schools but is now open to youth workers wishing to develop the skill set provided.
Training youth workers to introduce young people, aged 11 to 15 years (6th class to first and second year in secondary school), to basic life skills in order to become resilient, creative and mindful young adults. It incorporates mindfulness into the programme. As a result youth workers who have experience with mindfulness are suitable candidates for the training. Cost ?200 for 2 day training.
