ECO-UNESCO is Ireland’s environmental education and youth organisation.
ECO-UNESCO work to conserve the environment and empower young people. ECO-UNESCO promotes the personal development of young people by developing and channelling the passion that young people feel about the environment into positive and creative actions to protect the natural world. ECO-UNESCO is affiliated to the World Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centres and Associations (WFUCA).
ECO-UNESCO provides a wide range of environmental education and training programmes which include: Youth for Sustainable Development, Learning2Change Our World, ECO-UNESCO Clubs, and ECO-Youth Choices Programme. The annual ECO-UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards honours the work of young people between the ages of 12 and 18 who protect, conserve and enhance our environment through local environmental projects, making a difference to their lives and the lives of others locally and globally.
