Youth Worker Check In – Let’s talk about Gender Based Violence and Youth Work – Session 2

March 22, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm GMT

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Ashling Murphy’s murder and numerous news articles about sexual assaults has re-opened discussions on the impact of gender-based violence in our everyday lives and what needs to happen to bring about change. NYCI would like to open a space and invite youth workers to ‘check-in, to share the conversations that are taking place both between youth workers and with young people about what is happening within all our communities in regard to gender based violence. We are aware this is a sensitive and challenging issue and in order to respond we want to hear your concerns and look to see how we might support you, youth workers, to respond to these issues. It will be a similar shared and reflective space that we held regarding Covid.
