Spoken word masterclass – The Power of Words

DESCRIPTION

This masterclass will explore the power of words through spoken word poetry. We will explore the meaning of spoken word, how it differs to traditional poetry style. We will establish some steps you can take when writing your spoken work piece. How to create a character, emotions and connection, and how to perform your spoken word.

Kelvin Akpaloo

Hello, My name is Kelvin Akpaloo, 26 Years old, Afro-Irish. I am a creative director for Eurobug International out Work and collaboration Ltd, member of the NYCI-Young Voices programme, Making Links, a No Hate Speech Movement Ambassador, a choreographer, a performer, activist for the minorities and a Spoken Word artist.

And October this year, I was selected by the NYCI as one of Ireland´s European Youth Delegates at the first online European Youth Conference 2020 hosted Germany.

I am passionate about human rights and believe in the power of the youth. My goal is to inspire and make a change in this world by helping to attain an inclusive, diverse and integrative community in local, national and international level, especially for the minorities. And my dream is to be a sign of positive change, like Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King J and people that embody positive change in this world.
