DESCRIPTION

  • Are you working with young people aged 11-14?
  • Are you using creative activities to build positive inter-community and inter-cultural relationships and understanding?
  • Are you interested in developing links with youth groups in Northern Ireland?

 

The Education Authority Youth Service (EAYS) in Northern Ireland is seeking youth groups/projects from the Republic of Ireland interested in partnering with them on its ‘Go Create’ pilot programme.

Go Create offers young people aged 11-14 years the opportunity to participate in a 12-14 week educational programme utilising creative activities in order to build positive inter-community and inter-cultural relationships and understanding.

At this online information session Education Authority Youth Service colleagues will share further details of the Go Create programme and the Northern Ireland-based youth groups who are signed up to take part, look at timelines and the potential of online platforms for maximising cross-border relationship building and collaboration.

EXTRA INFORMATION

It is envisaged that the Go Create pilot programme will be delivered in partnership with a youth work organisation/project based in Ireland, incorporate social action activities and culminate in a residential (Covid-19 Restrictions/Guidance permitting). With developments in online platforms during Covid 19, it is anticipated that these could be maximised to help build relationships and cross-border collaboration.

This information session will take place online.

Attendance is welcome from all those interested in developing links with youth service organisations in Northern Ireland.
