Event 2 – Tuesday 21st – Youth Arts SPEAKS

February 21, 2023 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm GMT

Join us online on February 21st to hear directly from young people about their experience of youth arts, the role creativity has played in their lives and their vision for youth arts in Ireland.

Youth Arts SPEAKS is an NYCI youth arts advocacy group for 18 to 25 year olds that aims to place young people’s voices at the heart of national conversations about youth arts.

Youth Arts SPEAKS participants are taking part in a series of online and in-person workshops this winter to explore their stories, opinions and creativity. Participants are working with the artist Aoife Giles to explore light photography, portraiture and how creativity has impacted the way they see themselves. The project will culminate with a special Youth Arts SPEAKS event and online exhibition shaped by the participants themselves.

So, join us on Feb 21st for the Youth Arts SPEAKS 2023 event and online exhibition!

Who is this event for?

  • Youth Workers, Youth Arts Practitioners, Artists, Young People, Policy Makers, Academics, Researchers and anyone working with young people in a youth work, youth arts practice, out-of-school or non-formal education setting.
