DESCRIPTION

This training is part 3 of our 3-part Youth Arts & STEAM Project Management Series. If you are interested in this training, consider also registering for part 1 and part 2.

This training will explore practical advice and approaches to creating strong funding applications for Youth Arts and STEAM projects in youth work settings. Participants will delve into best practice and key methodologies in Youth Arts and STEAM and explore how those could be represented in project design and funding applications. A range of available funding options for Youth Arts and STEAM projects will be explored and exchanged with peers.

This online training will be interactive and include lots of opportunities for activities, discussion and small group work in breakout rooms as well as key inputs and presentations. Participants will gain practical experience in assessing sample funding applications.

Delivered by the National Youth Arts and STEAM Engagement Programmes, who manage the Artist and Youth Work Residency Grant Scheme and various STEAM grants at NYCI.

  • To explore approaches and advice on how to develop strong funding applications
  • To deepen understanding of good practice and methodologies in Youth Arts & STEAM and how this can be represented in project design and funding applications
  • To provide practical experience of assessing a short funding application with peers
  • To explore a funding forecast of potential funding options available to fund Youth Arts and STEAM projects in youth work settings
  • To provide space for participants to reflect on their practice and share experiences with peers

DESIGNED FOR

  • Anyone working with young people in a youth work, youth arts practice, out-of-school or non-formal education setting.
