This is NYCI’s 2-day Train the Trainer Course in the NYCI Child Protection Awareness Programme (CPAP). NYCI authorises select organisations to avail of the Train the Trainer model in order to deliver the CPAP exclusively within the nominated organisation.

This Train the Trainer course is for agreed organisations only, who have nominated a trainer(s) who meets the NYCI Trainer Competencies Criteria.

This training is provided by the NYCI Child Protection Programme.

Attendance for the entire 2 days is required.

Important Information for Eligibility

In order for participants to attend this two day training they must be put forward by their organisation and a Nomination Form must be completed and submitted to NYCI’s Child Protection Programme, confirming that the participant has the necessary competencies to deliver NYCI’s CPAP Training Programme, along with a copy of their CPAP Cert (dated within the last three years).

  • A nominated trainer in a youth work organisation to deliver the NYCI Child Protection Awareness Programme within their organisation.

This is a scheduled face-to-face training that will be delivered in-person at the Communications Workers Union, 575/555 North Circular Road, Dublin, D01 TR53. In line with the current government and public health guidelines, there are currently no restrictions in place regarding in-person events. We will provide tea and coffee at the breaks and sandwiches for lunch. Please advise of any dietary requirements. Participants are welcome to wear masks during the training if they so wish, this is voluntary rather than mandatory so please be aware other participants may not be wearing masks.

 

This training has been provisionally scheduled with the view to evaluate any changes to public guidance in the weeks preceding the training. With that in mind, NYCI reserve the right to cancel this training if circumstances in relation to Covid-19 change or if the government/public health guidelines change. In the event that face-to-face training cannot take place, this training will be rescheduled to a later date. Please note this training will not be moved online. NYCI will give as much notice as possible for any updates about the status of the training, in accordance with the public health guidance available at the time. NYCI will issue refunds to participants if the training is cancelled or rescheduled. For all other circumstances, please review NYCI’s Cancellation Policy prior to booking.

 

In the event that circumstances change with regard to Covid-19 prior to this training date, NYCI will abide by the government and public health guidelines at the time the event is due to take place. Therefore, restrictions or public safety measures may be put in place so that the training can ahead.

Your decision to attend a face-to-face training must consider all Government rules and guidance, your individual circumstances, and we ask that you only attend with the approval of your Organisation’s Senior Management.
