COP29 Youth Debrief

February 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm GMT

Calling all young environmental defenders!

Join us as we debrief what happened last November at COP29, the UN conference on climate change. We will be joined by young people who campaigned at the conference, as they share their reflections on its outcomes and the changes we need to see going forward. The panel is an opportunity to learn more about the COP process, the decisions made, and what it means for youth campaigning and organising going forward.

Whether you’re a seasoned campaigner, or someone who wants to get involved with climate advocacy, we hope you’ll join us for this insightful and engaging session!

Here’s your chance to:

✅ Learn about the annual Conference of Parties (most commonly known as ‘COP’)

✅ Understand why should you care about COP, and how you can get involved

✅ Assess what happened on the ground at the previous COP29

✅ Explore what’s upcoming at COP30

Through an exciting array of young panelists who attended COP29 in November 2024, you can learn about the good, the bad, the ugly, and the change that’s necessary for COP30!

👉 Don’t miss this opportunity to listen to activist peers, and ask key questions about how you can get involved for COP30 in November 2025.

Beth Doherty – Climate Youth Delegate for Ireland

Beth Doherty is a youth climate advocate from Ireland. She first got involved with climate activism as an organiser of the school strikes in Dublin in 2019. She graduated from the University of Cambridge this June with a degree in law,  and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Law at LSE. She has also worked with Global Choices to research, develop and propose legal protections for the Arctic.
