Thank you for showing interest in joining the Climate Justice Charter Community.
We are very pleased to have you join this journey of embedding climate justice principles within our organisations. The importance of upholding the justice lens in our solution to the climate crisis is ever-growing, as is recognising that we, as organisations, have a role to play in this transition.
To allow us to deepen our practice, we are asking every member of the Climate Justice Charter Community to commit to:
Passing the charter through your board/and other decision-making structures of your organisation as a sign of your support and commitment to Climate Justice principles.
At a practice level, to engage in activities and ongoing training that would strengthen the understanding and advocacy of a climate justice lens to the climate crisis.
Participate in a short survey annually that would sustain the practice of our community and collective effort to embed climate justice in our society and a way to recognise the contribution of the youth sector and others to climate justice.
To support this process, please find both a copy of the charter and letter that your decision-making body will need to sign in order to join the Future Generations Climate Justice Charter Community.
If you have any additional questions, you can message Eimear Manning at eimear@nyci.ie. Once your decision-making body has signed off on the letter (linked above), you can email it to Eimear and she will confirm you as an official signatory to the Climate Justice Charter.
Thank you for embarking on this journey with us. We look forward to growing this community together.
