We’re Here, Hear Us Now! Young people tell EU what they think .

2 young people to represent Ireland in Cyprus EU visit.

The National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) will bring young people from diverse backgrounds together today (Thursday, June 28th) at an event in Wood Quay, Dublin, to ensure their voices are heard in the EU.

NYCI’s We’re Here, Hear Us Now! is the national consultation on integration and inclusion in Ireland, which brings together young people and youth workers to tackle the issues and draft recommendations which will be brought to the next EU Youth Conference in Cyprus.

Youth unemployment presentation to Oireachtas

The National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) met with the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Jobs, Social Protection and Education on Unemployment and Youth.

NYCI Assistant Director, James Doorley raised a number of issues around NEES (Employment and Entitlements Service Employment and Entitlements Service); SOLAS (Seirbhísí Oideachais Leanunaigh agus Scileanna); the importance of internships for young people and the feasibility of a Youth Guarantee.
