The Skills Summary project provides a framework to better recognise the value and learning young people gain by participating in youth work and volunteering opportunities so that they can better communicate the acquisition of these essential skills to future employers. The primary audiences for this project are young people who are involved in the youth/non-formal education sector in Ireland.
Supported by the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth in 2021, the project aims to perpetuate and sustain the usage of Skills Summary among new and existing cohorts of young people aged 16-25 and youth organisations who support these young people. A key element of the Project in 2021 will be to introduce Skills Summary to employers.
NYCI is now seeking an experienced Project Co-ordinator to deliver the third phase of this exciting project. The post holder will work in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders including young people, youth organisations, youth employability projects, organisations supporting the unemployed, employers and other organisations. The role is multifaceted, and the successful candidate will be required to have a range of skills to deliver this project.
This is a partnership project between the National Youth Council of Ireland, Accenture and SpunOut.ie.
