“Ways and Means of Working with Older Teens” was NYCI’s annual thematic conference which took place in 2009.

The conference examined the social context and the role of youth organisations; seeking to identify opportunities and develop positive, creative and innovative ways of working with and providing supports for older teens.

Promoting Quality in Intercultural Youth Work

These resources – Promoting Quality in Intercultural Youth Work 12 Steps to Good Practice Phase I and II – capture the various ways that youth work organisations across Ireland have embedded intercultural work in their youth practice. We hope their stories will inspire readers to reflect on their intercultural youth practice and to reach out further to minority ethnic young people in their community. These resources, and the accompanying video, were the precursor and genesis of our 8 Steps to Inclusive Youth Work.
