The Child Protection Programme has developed a new free online course to support the youth work sector to help keep young people safe online.
This e-learning introduces youth workers and volunteers to key topics in online safety, and addresses the challenges that young people may face online. It explores the importance of digital awareness in your role and the ways you can support young people to be safer online.
It will take you approximately 2 – 2.5 hours to complete overall.
What will you learn?
Over 6 modules you will cover the following topics:

Module Two The Online World: Digital Awareness and Skills
Module Three Online Abuse: Cyberbullying
Module Four Online Abuse: Sexual Abuse
Module Five Online Abuse: Explicit Images
Module Six Online Abuse: Inappropriate Content
Certificate of Completion
At the end of the course there is a short assessment for you to test your learning. Upon successful completion of the modules and the assessment you will receive your Certificate of Completion.
