RFT: evaluation of NYCI’s STEAM in Youth Work project
NYCI is inviting tender proposals for the independent evaluation of its STEAM in Youth Work project.
About the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI)
NYCI is the representative body for voluntary youth organisations in Ireland. It uses its collective experience to act on issues that impact on young people. Members include over 50 voluntary youth organisations working across Ireland.
About the STEAM in Youth Work project, 2019 – 2021
Through training, residentials, ‘scientist in youth work residency’ grants, resources and equipment grants, 200 youth workers will be supported to:
use STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) to support the achievement of youth work outcomes, and
deliver inspiring, experiential STEAM education and engagement projects.
The scope of the project
This particular evaluation and learning service will run from May 2019 until February 2021.
The independent evaluator will undertake the following tasks:
Develop an evaluation and learning methodology for the project, and tools for data collection, storage and analysis.
Support the project team to produce periodic evaluation reports for the Expert Advisory Group.
Analyze data and complete the final learning and evaluation report for the project
The budget for the service is €20,000 (to cover all costs including VAT, travel, and subsistence).
