In the NYCI Pre-Budget 2020 submission, we called on Government to give young people and the youth sector a fair share in Budget 2020.
The €2m in additional investment in youth work announced in last week’s Budget is a welcome development, but falls well short of what is required to provide adequate support for the youth work sector.

As a package of measures and investment, Budget 2020 was disappointing and did not deliver the fair share young people and the youth sector need and deserve.
