OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE OSCE CHAIRPERSONSHIP YOUTH FORUM
The National Youth Council of Ireland together with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade invites applications for nominations from young people to attend an OSCE Chairpersonship Youth Forum in Helsinki, 29th- 30th July 2025.
The Finnish Chairmanship-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will organise, from 29 to 30 July 2025 in Helsinki, Finland, a Youth Forum with the aim of bringing together young people from all OSCE participating States to discuss how to further strengthen the OSCE’s work in the framework of the Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) Agenda.
The selected young people will have the opportunity to participate in debates and working groups on YPS Agenda activities in each of the three dimensions of the OSCE and during these debates, they will have the opportunity to contribute recommendations according to their areas of expertise.
Ireland has been requested to provide the following for possible participation at the event.
– Two nominees
– Aged 18-29
From this pool of nominees from other OSCE States and Partners for Co-operation, the Chairpersonship of the OSCE Permanent Council will select one participant from each State, with the aim of ensuring overall gender balance among participants.
The cost of attendance will be covered.
Applicants are asked to submit a Letter of Motivation (max 300 words) and a CV (max 1-2 pages). All applications should be submitted to diandra@nyci.ie no later than 1pm (Irish time) on Friday 25th April.
Late applications cannot be accepted.
