What
In the 17 days leading up to the 2 year anniversary of the SDGs on 25 September, a coordinated Europe-wide social media push where civil society organisations from all different sectors highlight one goal every day, thus highlighting interlinkages between the goals.
Aim
Draw attention to the EU’s inaction on implementing the SDGs.
Starting on 8 September, please tweet about the relevant SDG following this schedule. The most important thing is for us all to tweet about all the goals regardless of which goals we work on. We must convey the message that sustainable development is only possible if ALL goals are met, we don’t want cherry-picking.

Day 3 (10 September): Good Health and Wellbeing

Day 6 (13 September): Clean Water and Sanitation
Day 7 (14 September): Affordable and Clean Energy
Day 8 (15 September): Decent Work and Economic Growth
Day 9 (16 September): Industry Innovation and Infrastructure

Tweets
> It is important that NGOs develop their own specific messages about each goal, and in particular, highlight how they are linked.
> It is also important that we all retweet each others’ tweets.
> Here are two example general tweets that can also be used:
.@JunckerEU must make ALL #SDGs political priority! #MakeEuropeSustainableForAll (plus link to relevant info about particular goal)
The #SDGs are nearly 2 years young! But where is Europe’s plan for meeting them? Time for @JunckerEU to #MakeEuropeSustainableForAll
Use relevant hashtags:
#PeoplesBudget
#FutureofEurope
#MakeEuropeSustainableForAll
#6thscenario
#SDGsAreIndivisible
#Act4sdgs
Mention key people:
@sdgwatcheurope
@JunckerEU
@TimmermansEU
You can also mention other Commissioners depending on the goal.
Highlight political support from the European Parliament
> By using the pictures of MEPs with SDG signboards from our previous SDG Ambassador campaign we can highlight to Juncker that the European Parliament wants action on the SDGs.
> Remember to ‘mention’ the relevant MEP in your tweet so they can hopefully retweet it.
> Use the hashtag #SDGAmbassadors
