WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
This is an application to select 3 young people to represent Ireland at the Online EU Youth Conference in Portugal.
‘Young Voices’ in Ireland, is part European wide process called ‘EU Youth Dialogue’ which gives young people all over Europe a chance to ‘have your say’ about decisions affecting your life. Young Voices aims to give young people aged 16-30 years an opportunity to influence decision makers and policy makers on the themes selected for the EU Youth Dialogue cycle.
The focus of this EU Youth Dialogue Cycle is ‘Europe for YOUth, YOUth for Europe’ and is about EU Youth Goal 9 – Space and Participation for all.

March 12th to 15th
There will also be a briefing meeting online to prepare you for the conference and you will have to be available for this meeting.
DEADLINE TO APPLY?
- February 22nd @2pm
If you are selected you will be expected to commit to the entire EU Youth Dialogue Process of the current EU Presidency cycle.
What does this mean?
This means that we would like you to become part of the team that will be promoting the EU Youth Dialogue/Young Voices work and encouraging young people to participate throughout the process.
How?
We will support you to be a “multiplier”
- Sharing outcomes and experiences through social networks (before, during and after the Conf.)
- Connecting with other groups of young people.
- Linking with Youth Dialogue meetings and other focus groups in 2020/21
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
- If you are under 18, you will need additional consent for participation.
- The application form below must be completed online by Feb 22nd. We will not be accepting any late applications.

Please provide age when registering. If you are under 18yrs we will need also an email address and/or mobile phone number of a parent or guardian to seek consent for under 18year olds to join the meeting.
If you are selected you will be expected to commit to the entire EU Youth Dialogue Process of the current EU Presidency cycle. Please note, submitting an application for the Conference does not guarantee a place. Selected candidates will receive further information and confirmation!
