Youth Arts Showcase

Objective/Purpose:

‘Drop-in’ showcase to give politicians/stakeholders the opportunity to meet with young people involved in the arts in Ireland, and those who work with them, but also to showcase examples of the exceptional quality of youth arts activity happening in Ireland and celebrate the contribution of youth arts in the lives of young people and to Irish society.

Groups performing at the showcase will be;

  • Activate Youth Theatre, Cork
  • County Wexford Youth Dance, Wexford
  • Tallaght Young Filmmakers, Tallaght

Groups Exhibiting at the showcase will be:

  • The Travelling Library, by Kids’ Own Publishing Partnership
  • The Friday Night Youth Arts Group, West Cork Arts Centre
  • Kilkenny Arts Office – Artist-in-Residence Project

Representatives of the working group such as Kids’ Own Publishing  Partnership from Sligo and the Axis Arts Centre in Ballymun and national organizations such as the National Association of Youth Drama, Children’s Books Ireland, Irish Association of Youth Orchestras and will also be in attendance.
