Voluntary Service International

Voluntary Service International (VSI) is the Irish branch of Service Civil International, a worldwide movement working for peace, international understanding and sustainable development through voluntary service projects, international exchanges and education and awareness programmes.

VSI works for peace, international understanding and social justice through practical voluntary service, education and awareness programmes, international exchanges, co-operation and support with like minded groups and involving people from different backgrounds and cultures.

VSI Provides the following:

  • International Workcamp Programme - 25 - 35 projects in Ireland and Irish volunteers taking part in similar projects in 56 countries worldwide.
  • Teenage workcamp programmes - a programme of international exchanges and projects involving young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • Development Education - a programme of events and activities to create awareness and understanding of peace, justice and development issues.
