National Committee for Diocesan Youth Directors
NCDYD was established in 1979 to prepare for the Pope's mass in Galway. Since then it has continued to act as a Resource Group to the Irish Episcopal Conference.
The committee meets regularly and deals with a variety of matters in relation to Youth Ministry.
Programme
Each diocese develops its own strategies and programmes, depending on needs and resources available. Some programmes operate in several dioceses, eg 'Faith Friends, Gift, 'Discovery' etc.
