Irish Girl Guides
The Mission of The Irish Girl Guides is to enable girls and young women to develop to their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the World.
The Irish Girl Guides provides an environment where girls from all backgrounds can grow in self-confidence and develop a variety of skills in an unpressurised atmosphere.
Through a variety of activities girls are encouraged to:
- develop a knowledge and understanding of spiritual values in their daily lives
- learn practical indoor and outdoor skills
- participate in the international aspects of Guiding.
- behave responsibly in upholding the laws of the country
- be aware of and care for the needs of others
- appreciate and use environmental resources responsibly
Guiding is committed to helping girls from all backgrounds to develop the confidence, determination and skills needed to succed in today's world.
Facilities
Outdoor training centres in Carrigrohane, Co Cork; Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow; Broadford, Co Clare; Edenderry, Co Offaly; Glenstal, Co Limerick; Moate Park, Co Roscommon; and Farrenconnell, Co Cavan.
