Polish Presidency Youth Event

Poland is hosting the Presidency of the Council on the European Union this year, with the theme of ‘Youth and the World’.


A conference was held in Warsaw for young people from the 27 EU countries. The focus was on cooperation between young EU citizens and our neighbours from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.


NYCI nominated 3 participants to go to China for this youth event in Feb 2011.

Hailuu represents NYCI at Institutional Meeting of the Africa-Europe Youth Cooperation held in Braga, Portugal.  

From the 19th to the 21st of September 2010 the OECD’s Youth Unemployment conference was held in Oslo. Report by Adrian O'Higgins

Irish Delegation to China

I attended the opening ceremony of the European – Chinese Year of Youth, the objectives of the event were to raise awareness of Europe and China’s co-operation in the youth field, to bring together delegates from Europe and China and to make contacts to implement future collaborative projects between European and Chinese young people, 21-28 February 2011.
